June 12, 2003: I thought I would give readers a brief highlight of our first weekend of parades. On Saturday, June 12th, 2003 we did the first ever, Hamilton Pride Parade. Everyone had a few jitters seeing it was the first parade and we had never really moved the drill. Well it was wonderful. The crowd was appreciative and we made it through the first parade with minor staging problems. After that parade, we went to Brampton Ontario for their 150th Anniversary Parade. It's always nice to do evening parades. It is a bit cooler and our fans loved us! Thing looked much better on a very open street. The equipment work is looking cleaner. Sunday, June 15th, 2003 was the Oshawa Fiesta Day Parade. The sun was out, our uniforms were crisp and the equipment was ready, except for our power system. Jenny one of our member's came up to me and said, Dave do you smell smoke LOL! Well, it looks like we had a wiring problems and we could not do the parade. Our fans were waiting but there was nothing we could do. This week ROTC Toronto has an rehearsal on Sunday, June 22 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm at Jarvis Street Collegiate (Jarvis and Wellesley Street). Come out and say hi. Get ready, ROTC Toronto will be in the 2003 Pride Day Parade on Sunday, June 29th, 2003! Come out and support ROTC Toronto, Pride Toronto and our fine City!!!!!!!!! Dave

I'm the new kid on the block for ROTC(something nice to be able to say at 42. I'd just like to confirm any rumours that might be circulating about the group...........They're all true!!!! It's stress time as we approach what will be my first parage, but It's damned f***ing beautiful to see us in synch and I'm proud of it.

Hi Everyone: Just a word of thanks to Michoel, Jerry and Jenny for a great final all day rehearsal. Even though there were some stressful points, we made it through the full routine and it does look good. (Except for my hips LOL). Look out Hamilton Pride, here comes ROTC!!!!! Hope to see all our supporters out in Hamilton and Brampton on Saturday, June 14 and Oshawa, June 15, 2003. New pictures should be on the web site very soon! Bye for now! Dave

Great rehearsal today folks! With the drill(s) now in place, our 2003 "OUTRAGEOUS" summer program is absolutely fabulous for all to see! It will be hard pressed for ANYONE to choose one of the 3 numbers we are perfoming too as being their personal favorite. "I'm Beautiful" will have them clapping, the "Paso Doble" will have them oohing and ahhing and "Sparkling Diamonds" will have them wanting more. For the 2003 ROTC Members, water breaks will be our personal favorite, as our big bright and colourful "OUTRAGEOUS" show is nothing more than crowd pleasing romp. For our alumni and fans... yes, all but one of us have 5 pieces of equipment. The one and only Jen Hope has 4 pieces, but she gets no water. Unless of course, someone or two or three or more helps carry a much needed "kitchen sink" to both complete our equipment line up and for Ms. Hope to have something to drink out of. Poor thing, could really use someone's help. So, for those that are interested as being support staff, please give us a call or contact us at: info@rotctoronto.com. In the mean time... keep up the excellent rehearsals twirlers, and for our onlookers ~ we look forward to performing for you soon!

Great to meet you all! I really wanted to say THANKS a bunch for letting us (ROTC in Chicago) march with you, and share your sound system. A very windy start to our first parade, but none the less a great start. The folks in Oshawa were awe struck (in more ways than one)at our performance. The Toronto Pride Parade is looking to be "confetti flying" fun June 30th. Remember to arrive a tad early (9:45am) for Sunday June 23rd's rehearsal at Jarvis Colligate. This upcoming season of ROTC Toronto is shaping up to be great. Our routine to the festive music of "Young Hearts" is sure to be a crowd and ROTC favorite. Keep up the good work folks! It is looking like a merge between ROTC Toronto and ROTC Chicago for the Divers Pride parade in Montreal come August 3rd to 5th 2002. This will be a good step towards putting something together for the Gay Games in Montreal come 2006. It's really not that far away when you think about it. Hum... Our first parade in Oshawa June 16th is just 4 weeks away. Then it's on to celebrate Canada Day in Port Hope and Coburg July 1st, London's Pride Parade July 14th, Montreal Pride Parade in August and then Cabbagetown in September. With all the dancing and twirling in this years routine we should be in great shape to wear those desired tight hot pants and Tank shirts come Xmas!

Yeah, girls, yeah! Greetings from the NY/Philadelphia FLAGGOTS! This summer we performed in the Philly Pride Parade and opened the New York City Pride Rally. Looking forward to 2001- and the "Champagne Edition" of FLAGGOTS - as it will be our 10th Anniversary. I promise... a website hopefully before winter.
